​​This collection is rooted in the human need for hairstyling as a means of creating our identities, and it shows the relevance of hairstyling beyond the human scalp. The combination of hairstyle and textile craft is the essence of this collection. The techniques that have been used are based on a ’Slow Fashion’ attitude towards fashion, where craftsmanship and creativity have been valued above consumption and commercial interests. The collection consists of carefully considered textiles, garments, and accessories made by tufting, knitting, heat-fixating, and felting, which are inspired by the hairstyles: curly hair, braiding, and the wet look.
