Design and fit
Together with the t-shirt, this is the first short-sleeved jersey garment in a collection for the UN tour guides. The top has a calm, minimalist design that lets the vibrant blue colour speak for itself.
The blue colour refers to the cornflower, an important flower in Swedish culture that symbolises Midsummer and hope.
The garment combines a play on lines and a minimalist look: smooth front with no seams and two characteristic seams at the back that form straight lines that end in a curve. The neckline has a straight, minimalist line that reflects the architecture of the UN headquarters in New York.
The garment is fitted yet relaxed with an elegant boat neckline and kimono sleeve. The sleeve is slightly longer for a sophisticated look.
Material
52% Cotton, 48% Viscose
The top combines viscose and cotton to provide both comfort and style. Viscose fibres are synthetic fibres extracted from the natural raw material wood. It is highly absorbent and conducts heat well, making it ideal for hot climates. It is also soft with a natural lustre. The viscose is combined with cotton, a natural fibre that comes from the seed pods of the cotton plant. Cotton is highly absorbent and ideal for warm climates. As cotton is soft and gentle on the skin, it also contributes to a high level of comfort for the wearer of the garment.
