Morphogenesis in Motion

Anaïs Dahl Perret

Shaping Transformable Fashion through Modularity, Circularity, and Connection This project reimagines garments as living systems. Inspired by cellular behaviour, the collection uses knit and laser-cut techniques to create modular, transformable garments adaptable to individual needs and tastes. Each textile module, connected via drawstrings, enables users to personalize, reshape, and disassemble the pieces, fostering emotional durability and supporting circular design.

This approach challenges traditional garment construction by letting textile structure define form, creating a dynamic dialogue between material, form, and the body. Utilizing a mono-material approach, each textile is made from a single fiber type, such as wool, cotton or viscose, optimized for recycling. The drawstring assembly invites a slower, more intentional interaction with the garment, fostering craftsmanship and a deeper understanding of its construction.

Balancing digital precision with tactile craft, the collection encourages active user engagement, inviting curiosity, care, and creative exploration. It envisions fashion as resilient, adaptable, and interactive, advancing sustainability through continuous aesthetic transformation and emotional connection.
