Threads of fate

Kamilla Kuszon and Astrid Brøndgaard Jensen (joint exam work)

Threads of Fate is a spatial textile exhibition designed to interpret and explore Norse mythology through contemporary perspectives and modern techniques. The exhibition includes six works that visualize the stories of the three norns from Norse mythology.

The project focuses on two key areas: spinning and weaving. Three of the works explore how to create 3D jacquard woven sculptures using double weave and fulling, symbolizing the norns. The other three use homespun effect yarns to develop intricate structures and patterns, representing the life stories woven by the norns.
