In this seminar, the PhD thesis entitled The Emotional Learning Journey: Cognitive Appraisals and Information-Seeking Achievement Emotions of Swedish Primary Teacher Students is presented and discussed. The thesis investigates the intricate interplay between cognitive and emotional processes in the context of learning to seek information. The findings reveal the emotional nature of information-seeking and learning, highlighting the significant involvement of various emotions and the complexity of their interplay with cognitive processes.

Claes Dahlqvist holds a PhD in Information Studies, Åbo Akademi University, Finland. He also works as a lecturer and instruction librarian at Kristianstad University, Sweden.
