Academic Ceremony 2025
The university’s academic ceremony was celebrated with trumpet fanfares and warm applause. Alongside the joy of career milestones, scientific achievements and awards, several speakers returned to the importance of standing up for academic freedom.
At this year’s ceremony, nine doctors were conferred, six professors were installed, and eleven associate professors were honoured with diplomas and flowers. In addition, Ia Williamsson received the university’s Pedagogical Prize. This year’s conferrer was Vincent Nierstrasz, Professor of Textile Materials Technology. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a reception, followed by a banquet for those participating in the ceremony, along with their families and specially invited guests.
