Morning session
We will start the day with a welcoming session introducing the University of Borås. Get to know our broad and specialised areas of education, and how we empower students and researchers to make a meaningful impact on society – together.
In addition, we will present the support services offered to incoming exchange students, including how we help them settle into life in Borås and secure housing. We hope this session will offer insight into potential areas for collaboration and provide a glimpse into what life looks like for your students during their stay with us. And of course, Swedish fika will be provided!
Afternoon sessions
During the afternoon, participants will take part in two modules of their choice, based on the preferences indicated during registration. Each module offers a unique opportunity to explore specific areas of expertise, connect with staff, and experience the University of Borås from different perspectives.
The Swedish School of Textiles is a world-leading fashion school with cutting-edge labs where students, researchers, and companies collaborate in a uniquely advanced environment. Our labs stand out by offering the opportunity to work with the entire textile process in a full-scale setting. With roots in the Borås Technical Weaving School, founded in 1866, Borås has long been a hub for textile knowledge and innovation. Do not miss the chance to experience this legacy and state-of-the-art environment.
Visit our Engineering Labs to learn more about ongoing research and discover the opportunities available to students - whether through regular courses or research internships. At our facilities, research and education go hand in hand, with students and researchers often working side by side, connecting the learning environment to the latest research practices. The tour includes stops at the Polymer Lab, Biogas and Biotechnology Lab, Energy Lab, Automation Lab, and Building Technology Lab.
Discover how technology is shaping the future. The Digital Business Lab inspires and educates students, collaborates with companies, and supports researchers in exploring digital technologies in a business context, such as VR, AR, AI, eye-tracking, digital fabric simulation, and body scanning. Through partnerships with diverse organisations, the Lab fosters innovation and practical applications of digital tools. In the Showroom, the focus is on how these tools can enhance business, particularly from a consumer perspective.
At our Clinical Training Centre, nursing students and healthcare professionals develop their skills in a high-tech, simulated care environment. Using tools like simulation and projection, real-life scenarios are recreated to enhance clinical competence and practical learning. Join the tour of this central hub for both undergraduate nursing education and advanced-level healthcare training.
Get to know one of the largest and most established environments for the field in the Nordic region. We empower students to navigate today’s complex information landscape with a strong focus on information literacy, critical source evaluation, and building trust in reliable knowledge. During the visit, you will meet our teachers, gain insight into the student experience, and learn more about MuseIT – a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary project exploring how technology can make culture and heritage more inclusive and accessible.
Experience the dynamic learning environment at the Department of Information Technology firsthand as we showcase how we are preparing the next generation of IT professionals for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow. You will also learn more about our collaboration with Tech Borås – a leading hub for digital innovation and regional cooperation. With over 150 partner companies, Tech Borås plays a key role in connecting industry, academia, and students and co-create the tech solutions for the future.
All students should have the opportunity to study on equal terms. To ensure this, the University of Borås offers a wide range of services for students with disabilities, including physical, mental, or developmental conditions that may affect studies - such as dyslexia. In this interactive session, participants will meet coordinators for disability support and learn about the services available and how they are organised at our university. Participants are encouraged to bring their own experiences and best practices to share during the workshop.
