What is Scopus AI?
Scopus AI is an AI-based tool that searches for scientific publications using questions asked in natural language. The tool uses material in Scopus to find relevant documents and generate summary responses with references to sources.
How does Scopus AI work?
Scopus AI converts the natural language question into a search query using Boolean operators such as AND and OR, which are displayed in the "Show Copilot Steps" section. The search results are presented as a summary with references to sources and suggestions for related questions. Additionally, users can access an in-depth summary and a concept map of the topic in question. The tool also suggests experts in the subject area based on the conducted search. It is possible to ask questions in various languages, but the responses are always generated in English.
Tips for formulating good questions
To achieve good results, it is important to ask clear and detailed questions about the academic topic to be explored. Formulating the question as specifically as possible makes it easier for the service to find matching material. On the Scopus AI homepage, there are example questions that demonstrate how to structure queries effectively.
