Textile Technology
Within Textile Technology we offer courses in English at Bachelor and Master level in Textile Engineering, Textile Product Development and Polymers.
The courses are presented in course packages with 3-4 courses that together make 30 ECTS which corresponds to full time studies for one semester. Courses from different course packages cannot be combined but students that wish to study Swedish are encourages to add a Swedish language course to their course selection.

Elements of Textile Technology - 30 ECTS
Exchange students attending this package will take courses together with students in the 2nd year of Textile Product and Innovation. Since this is a new program the course names are preliminary. Course syllabi is expected to be published in March.
- Textile Structures, 7,5 ECTS - syllabus TBA
- Joining Technology for Textile Products, 5 ECTS - syllabus TBA
"This course provides a broad insight and fundamental understanding of how textile materials can be joined into different products, such as garments, bags and technical textiles. The course covers various joining techniques, including thread sewing, ultrasonic welding, gluing and taping. Students learn about the different techniques and their impact on the function, quality and durability of the product. The course also highlights the importance of understanding seams and stitches and how to avoid seam defects. In addition, the role of joining in disassembly and recycling is discussed, as well as techniques for repairing broken products to promote circular strategies." - Quality Assurance and Textile Testing, 5 ECTS - syllabus TBA
- Textile Innovation, 7,5 ECTS - syllabus TBA
"The course introduces innovation processes in the textile industry, innovation management, and how innovation can be organized and managed in different types of enterprises. Students develop both theoretical knowledge and applied skills in textile innovation, with a focus on strategies and processes for product development. The course covers various innovation methods, influencing factors such as materials and technologies, as well as concrete examples of textile innovations and their applications." - Digital Tools for Communication, 5 ECTS - syllabus TBA
“This course introduces essential digital tools for effective communication in textile technology and innovation. It covers two key areas: design and idea communication, focusing on digital design software, and data communication, which includes data management and visualization tools. Additionally, the course provides an introduction to effective presentation techniques.”
