Textile Technology
Within Textile Technology we offer courses in English at Bachelor and Master level in Textile Engineering, Textile Product Development and Polymers.
The courses are presented in course packages or modules that together make 30 ECTS which corresponds to full time studies for one semester.

Courses Autumn 2026
Bachelor's level
We offer three modules of 15 ECTS each. Students are required to choose two modules to obtain 30 ECTS.
Module 1: Textile Production Technology 15 ECTS
Requires prior knowledge of clothing technology and is suitable for those who wish to excel in textile technology.
- Textile Regulations for Product Development 7,5 ECTS - syllabus to be decided
- Production Technology for Textile Products 7,5 ECTS - syllabus to be decided
Module 2: Textile Innovation 15 ECTS
Require knowledge of textile materials.
- Nonwoven Technology (pdf) 5 ECTS
- Textile Product Innovation 10 ECTS - syllabus to be decided
"Students will get an in-depth understanding of how textile products and services develop alongside business ideas and branding, with a focus on sustainability. It covers innovation processes in textile and business development, including planning and implementing product development and creating business models based on consumer values. Students will collaborate on a group project to create to design a fictional company with a circular business model, covering the entire textile value chain. The course concludes with students presenting their results in a fashion show and exhibition, showcasing their innovative solutions."
Module 3: Textile Structures 15 ECTS
Require knowledge of textile materials.
- Textile Structures (pdf) 7,5 ECTS
- Elective course 7,5 ECTS - a courselist will be published in the end of February
Master's level
Courses from different course packages cannot be combined but students that wish to study Swedish are encourages to add a Swedish language course to their course selection.
Textile Engineering
Requirements: 180 ECTS in engineering including knowledge in textile technology and polymeric material.
