Why did you choose to study the Master´s programme in Textile Engineering?
I wanted to deepen my technical knowledge in textiles while focusing on innovation, sustainability, and smart materials. This programme offers exactly what I was expecting by combining advanced textile science with practical applications.
What do you think is the most interesting or important part of your programme?
The most exciting part is hands on experience in new textile technologies, especially in areas like smart textiles, sustainable processes, and fiber development. The access to advanced labs and real industry projects is a major strength.
What career opportunities will you have after your studies?
This programme opens doors to R&D roles, innovation management, textile product development, and sustainable manufacturing in both local and international companies. It also provides a strong foundation if I choose to pursue a PhD.
What do you dream about doing in 5 years?
In five years, I’d like to be leading innovation projects in a textile company, focusing on smart textile development and sustainability.
What tips do you have for those considering applying to the same programme as you?
Brush up on your fundamentals in textile science and materials. This programme is a great fit for those who enjoy solving real-world challenges using technology and engineering.
Why did you choose to study in Sweden, and in Borås?
Sweden is a global leader in sustainability and innovation, and Borås is the textile capital of the country. The Swedish School of Textiles offers excellent facilities, industry collaboration, and a great environment for international students.
Was it a big step to study abroad?
Yes, it was quite challenging and a significant step moving to a new country and adapting to a different culture. But it’s also been an incredibly valuable experience for both personal and professional growth.
What is the city of Borås like for international students?
Borås is compact, calm, and very student-friendly. Everything is close by. There’s a strong international community, and plenty of opportunities to get involved in both academic and social activities.
Where is your favourite study spot on campus?
I like studying at the Textile Library. It’s quiet, inspiring, and surrounded by resources and innovation. It helps me stay focused and creative.
