Showroom and VR

Virtual Reality means the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. By using a headset, which blocks external light and shuts out the real world, the user experiences a 360-degree virtual world around them. The feeling of actually being in this virtual world is further enhanced by the ability to interact with it, giving a sense of immersion.

For example, businesses can use VR in their planning and design processes, but can also research and improve customer experiences. VR lets customers not only see, but also experience products and services.

In the lab you can test VR! We have examples of how consumers can try out goods in VR before making a potential purchase.

Metaverse

What will the Metaverse mean for the future? In the Digital Business Lab, we have designed the lab in a 3D version (Metaverse) on the Altspace VR platform. The platform no longer exists, but the 3D version can be seen in the physical lab.

Student project with CLO3D

As an individual field study, one of our students took on a project with CLO3D (3D-based product development, to produce digital garments and pattern parts, and to be able to test garments on avatars). A Catwalk, created in CLO3D, was also developed and displayed in the lab's Metaverse.
