The project will be based on a holistic approach focused on the merging of technological and humanistic system-thinking. By “Scaling-out, Scaling-up, and Scaling-deep, as elaborated by the J.W. McConnell Foundation, the project explores and tests how Internet of Things, Industry 4.0 manufacturing, digital tools for sales and design and integration of customers and users can be used in advancing systemic social innovation.
The project has a wide scope and aims at supporting sustainable development goals 9 Industry, innovation and infrastructure, 11 Sustainable cities and communities and 12 Responsible consumption and production. Once stage three of the project is completed, actionable ground-breaking digitally supported solutions will have been, explored, analysed, piloted and assessed within the scope of the users in the apparel and textile industry. This will support new directions for scaling the impact of a positive social, environmental and cultural regenerative circular economy.
