Ambulance Safety
Start date: 2011-01-01
End date: 2015-12-31
Personnel in the ambulance need to be able to give patients care in safe conditions which as far as possible prevent future occupational injuries. At the same time, the patient being transported must be given care in a safe manner. There is an urgent need of acquiring further knowledge about how to create a well-suited and traffic-safe space for care in the ambulance.
For this reason, the study Ambulance Safety surveys ambulance personnel's experiences of having the ambulance's care space as their work environment.
The study will be carried out in the form of focus group interviews with ambulance personnel in two different geographical regions.
The results of the study may contribute to a better design of ambulance vehicles and a safer environment for both patient and personnel.
