We have built a data center with new high-performance computers in order to be able to make advanced data analysis on large amounts of data from collaborating businesses. Through the data center, computer power has been made available to related researchers via both a larger supercomputer and smaller cluster-based computer solutions with different kinds of computer architectures.

Through a number of major research projects, the data center has come to considerable use in data analysis of larger data volumes from mainly companies in the seven-core region in both the grocery and modern e-commerce companies (ICA, Ellos, Hemtex etc.). Even larger national companies (AstraZeneca and Scania) have come to this extensive computer power.

In order to be able to work more efficiently with our business partners, primarily within Sjuhärad, it is central to be able to mimic the environment that the companies in question use at present as well as possible.
