Digital tools for textile and fashion

Within the project, we will develop advanced digital tools and systems for research, education, and industry throughout the textile value chain. The development will start with large data collections and machine learning modelling.

Implementing advanced digital tools and systems is essential for future research and enhancing ongoing modelling research. These tools will support sustainable decision-making throughout the textile value chain, potentially leading to the creation of textile products with a balanced lifespan and a reduced environmental footprint. This research and development will position the Swedish School of Textiles as a leader in sustainable and digital textile research. Additionally, the project aims to strengthen collaboration with industry and academic partners, enhancing Sweden’s role in the global sustainable textile market.
