Electrospinning of fungal biopolymers to make biomaterials for medical application
Start date: 2021-09-01
End date: 2022-09-30
In this project, food waste was used to cultivation the filamentous fungi and produce fungal chitosan. The fungal chitosan was purified and subjected to an electrospinning process to produce a porous textile made of chitosan nanofibres. The obtained material showed very promising effect on the wound healing in vitro experiment.
