The composite is made by combining textile reinforcement and a thermosetting or thermoplastic resin matrix. Production of textile composite products requires the drape of dry or pre-impregnated textile sheets over molds. The project involves buying an instrument for fabric drapability testing. This instrument is a very good complement to the existing research environment.

This equipment will be an important resource for researchers and students in two areas at the University of Borås; Textile and Fashion and Resource Recovery.

The equipment can be used in the project conducted within Smart Textiles initiative and also in other projects together with research institutes and companies in the Sjuhärad region.
