HUGO
Start date: 2018-11-01
End date: 2020-04-30
The goal of this HUGO project is to adapt the autonomous electric vehicle HUGO to peer to peer garment sharing and rental services for apparel and fashion products. The system specifically focus on reducing environmental, economical and social costs associated with last mile delivery of fashion and apparel products. Those cost can be for example that people are driving their cars to pick-up points or the store and distribution vehicles take up too much space in city traffic. In a sharing economy these problem can cancel the environmental benefits of sharing products but managed correctly, environmental impact can be reduced by 50% compared to purchasing a new garment.
