The main purpose of the project is presenting a production method for knitted garments that may greatly influence the fashion industry's ability to meet new and changing demands from the customers.

The project will also result in knowledge about and a more exact estimate of the costs of logistics and handling the entire supply chain. Among other things this will provide improved platforms for making strategic decisions on outsourcing production and sub contractors and may also contribute to increased local fashion manufacturing.

This project will use methods and technology for automatized knitting of whole garments according to the complete garment technique, in order to build a laboratory for production of fashion articles where different delivery, logistic, production and quality concepts are to be tested and assessed.
