Lay volunteers and healthcare personnel as part of the alarm chain in cases of suspected out-of-hospital cardiac arrest

The overall purpose of the project is to contribute to an in-depth knowledge about people´s motivation and incentives for participating and engaging in part of the alarm chain for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest events.

Lay volunteers and healthcare personnel, who are in service in the community, are to be examined. Both groups, to som extent today, are part of the alarm chain as a complementary aid to the more traditional emergency medical services.
