Prolonging the Use of Clothing through Digital Storytelling in Social Media

The purpose of the research is that an emotionally durable relationship could be realized through storytelling and digital storytelling about one’s own and others’ garments that would encourage people to use them and keep them longer, thereby potentially reduce ill-considered, ‘automatic buying’. The goal is to prolong the use of clothing through researcher-participant collaboration by building a community and practical framework that challenges to not readily dispose of clothing; that seeks to increasingly engage with clothing (e.g. to mend when torn); and act as a medium to transform each other's consumer attitudes in being responsible (knowledge dissemination through social media).
