In cooperation with Smart Textiles, Y-graft is engaged in developing an artificial blood vessel from a textile that is designed for use in the human body. The blood vessel has a unique design that mimics nature and can offer better functionality. The objective is to make this the first textile product that can be placed in the coronary arteries. It will constitute a valuable alternative to patients who undergo bypass surgery and who lack replacement vessels of their own.
