W4Tex National Ideathon: Strengthening Women’s Leadership in Textiles

About the W4Tex project

The W4Tex project ("Strengthening women's representation in senior textile positions") is a transnational initiative dedicated to empowering women to take on managerial and senior roles within the European textile industry.

Our core mission is to address the gender gap in leadership by providing targeted training, mentorship, and opportunities for skill development. This Ideathon is a direct part of our efforts to build knowledge and foster collaboration across partner countries, ensuring a more inclusive and dynamic future for the sector.

Event Overview: The Challenge of the Future

Participants will work in small groups - formed before or during the event - to tackle challenges centered around Sustainability, with focus on the critical topics of Circularity, Fast fashion and Textile waste & recycling.

The day will be structured for high-impact collaboration:

Team building: Networking coffee and team formation, followed by an introduction to the W4Tex project's learning materials.

Ideation: Teams will develop a specific solution to a challenge revealed on the day of the event.

Support: Project team members, mentors, and an inspirational guest speaker will be on hand to facilitate your work and provide expert guidance.

Pitch: The day culminates in a short presentation where teams pitch their innovative solution to a jury and fellow participants.

Lunch and fika will be provided. (Please be sure to provide any dietary preferences or allergies during registration.)

Opportunity: Collaborate and network at the transnational Ideathon in Greece! 

This is more than just an ideathon—it's a gateway to an international experience.
The jury will select three winning groups. One of these winning groups will receive an exclusive invitation to join the W4Tex project in Larissa, Greece, to participate in a transnational Ideathon! This includes collaboration with participants and staff from all partner countries.

Travel and accommodation costs for the winning group are included.

Who should register (Target Group)?

While the W4TEX project’s mission is dedicated to strengthening the representation of women in managerial and senior textile positions, all interested individuals are welcome to register and participate in this collaborative Ideathon.

However, please note that the primary target group for this event is women, with a specific focus on those from migrant* or refugee* backgrounds. Your participation helps us directly support the project’s core objectives s this event is a part of the W4tex project which aims to strengthen the representation of women in managerial and senior position, the target group for this event is women especially those with migrant or refugee backgrounds.
