ULF: Development, Learning, and Research

The goal of ULF is to develop an infrastructure that aims to develop and test sustainable, long-term collaboration models between universities and schools in terms of research, school activities, and teacher training.

The idea is that these collaboration models will strengthen the scientific grounding and approach in schools, and strengthen the link between educational research and practice in schools. An important part of this is to enable professional groups within schools, not just researchers in academia, to initiate research relevant to schools.

The University of Borås is part of the Västnoden (the western node). Other nodes in Sweden are:

Huvudstadsnoden (the Capital Node)
Nordnoden (the Northern Node)
Östnoden  (the Eastern Node)
Sydnoden (the Southern Node)

ULF at the University of Borås

The university is ultimately responsible for ULF activities and is led by the Assistant Head of Department for Collaboration. As a tool, there is a steering group consisting of representatives from school activities as well as from the university.
