Subject area: Caring Science
Direction: High-tech healthcare environments in homes and hospitals
Current research
I lead the programme known as The Life situation for people (children, adolescents, and adults) on long-term ventilator treatment. This programme is also an interdisciplinary collaboration project with other universities, companies, and clinical settings. One example of collaboration is the publication of the handbook "Breathe at home," which is a collaborative project between the University of Borås and the Respiratory Resource Team at Södra Älvsborg Hospital, Borås. Another example is a doctoral project entitled ”Equal and close care and professional support for children and young people living with ventilator treatment at home” where I am the principal supervisor and which is linked to the research school SHIFT CARE.
Furthermore, I am part of an interdisciplinary research group working on the development of a project on lighting in enclosed healthcare spaces. The project is funded by the Svensson Foundation for Lighting Technology. I am also a senior advisor in an interdisciplinary research collaboration based at the Institute of Health and Care Sciences at the University of Gothenburg, focusing on sound, light, and design in intensive care.
