I came to textile management after professional experience in textile design, contemporary art, and teaching English language learners. My PhD from The Swedish School of Textiles, is a narrative about a handloomed-fabric producing social organization in rural India in relationship to “slow” and “sustainable” fashion.
I am currently leading two free-standing online courses, Textiles in Contexts, and Slow Fashion Business Models. My research interests follow discourse and practice around the topics of artisanal, small-scale, and local approaches to fashion, or more simply, “what we wear.” I am currently writing an academic article about online learning taking place between weaver-entrepreneurs and designer-entrepreneurs.
