Holding a PhD in Fine Arts in Design, his research is situated at the intersections of fashion design, human-computer interactions (HCI), and media arts. Informed by theory and concepts commonly acknowledged within HCI and new materialism, he develops methods for engaging with entangled and dynamic material systems along a digital-physical spectrum that unfold in their function and relations through performance-based configurations involving the human body, textiles, and space. He is involved in research projects focusing on developing digital and AI-driven design processes in collaboration with Swedish industry partners and is a member of international networks to advance digital transformations in fashion. Alongside his research practice, he lectures on both BFA and MFA levels on digital design practices in the textile and fashion field.
