Marie Ekstedt Bjersing
Lecturer
Faculty of Textiles, Engineering and Business (including The Swedish School of Textiles)
— Department of Textile Technology
I work as a lecturer in the department of Textile technology. I mostly teach weaving technology and textile materials. My background is in the craft of weaving and textile history. I have worked with several reconstructions of artifacts and craft methods. Including reconstructions of a circular collar belonging to Tutankhamun. Production and technology are two areas within weaving that have always interested me, from the past to the future. I am participating in the research project Textile muscles for augmenting garments.
