As a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Educational Work at the University of Borås, I teach and conduct research on children’s linguistic and cognitive development, both in typical and atypical contexts. This includes special education issues in preschool/school/adapted primary and lower-secondary school, where I have been interested in evidence-based methods to support children's language development. My doctoral thesis in Linguistics from the University of Gothenburg (2016) focused on language development in those with autism spectrum disorders. My theoretical background is interdisciplinary and in my research, linguistic/cognitive/perceptual perspectives are combined with interactional perspectives.
