At the Faculty of Textiles, Engineering and Business, Pooria serves as an Associate Professor in Polymer Technology, specializing in material recovery and sustainable composite solutions. His research focuses on the development, characterization, structural simulation, and life cycle assessment of bio-based fiber-reinforced polymer composites, with particular emphasis on bio-based fibers, recycled polymers, and bio-based polymers for semi-structural composite applications.

Before joining the University of Borås, he conducted research in bio-composites at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Nottingham. Throughout his career, he has contributed to several major national and international research projects in close collaboration with academic and industrial partners.
