My research interests concern the pedagogical application of educational technology and the development of communities of practice and collegial learning by means of action research.

In September 2015, I passed my dissertation “Educational Software in Engineering Education” and I have published scientific articles in journals and conferences, book chapters and popular articles "LUME – en metod for natoberoende datorstödd utbildning" (pdf)  and "USB-minne kan vara ett stöd i utbildningen i fattiga länder" (pdf)

I work at the Faculty of Librarianship, Information, Education and IT at University of Borås as pedagogical developer and teach different lecturer categories. In 2016, I led a working group that would draw up a proposal for the design of "Loftet" UB:s Active Learning Classroom, (ALC).

Two projects, financed by the EU have had particular impact on my research:

"The Asia Link project", took me to Indonesia on three occasions in 2004-2006 to teach and train lecturers at the University of Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, how to use an LMS.

In the project "Universidad, Sociedad e Innovación" (USO+i). I took part as technical coordinator and lecturer, 2009-2012. The project objectives were to facilitate the adaption of Engineering Education to the need of the society in Latin-American countries. During this project I visited 6 countries and gave a course to engineering educators on three separated occasions, in Cuba, Guatemala and Peru.

Currently I work in a ERASMUS + project as coordinator, "Innovative, free, on and off line access modules to study master's courses in Europe". The primary objective is to design, develop and implement access modules to four master's courses in Europe. The modules are intended to attract suitable students and prepare them by testing and developing knowledge and skills, required to successfully completing the master's courses.

Awards

I have received two awards for my work as educator: ‘El sello de la CUJAE’ awarded by Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echebarria (ISPJAE) 2012. The ‘Innovative and Creative Teaching’, awarded by the Rede International e Escolas Criativas, 2012, Orleans, Brazil.
