— Department of Caring Science

I am employed at Marie Cederschöld University College in Stockholm and affiliated with the University of Borås in the project "Simulating existential conversations in palliative care using AI for nursing students". I have a PhD in palliative care and defended my thesis in 2020 in the field of People in the welfare society.

My research focuses on how people can receive better support and care in different life situations, with a particular emphasis on existential issues and well-being. Among other things, I study how healthcare professionals and students can develop their ability to handle difficult conversations, the role that non-profit organisations play in health and community, and how homeless people experience their basic needs for food and meals.

At Marie Cederschiöld University College, I am the programme coordinator for the specialist nursing programme with a focus on palliative care. I teach healthcare science and palliative care at basic and advanced levels. I have experience of supervision at bachelor's, advanced and doctoral levels, as well as course leadership and course development.
