Jesse Dinneen

My research interests surround social and ethical issues of the information society, particularly those that concern personal information (its use and management) and artificial intelligence. An example problem is determining if/how post-mortem data can be managed and used (e.g. in cultural heritage collections and AI chatbots) for the benefit of the living while respecting the privacy and dignity of the deceased. I try to create knowledge that can aid responsible computing and information management, which necessarily requires integrating technical, social, and philosophical research methods.
