Senior Lecturer
A senior lecturer who is permanently employed is to, upon application, be promoted to a permanent position as professor or associate professor, if qualified for such employment. The subject area for the position as professor/associate professor must be the same as for the position as senior lecturer. The provisions regarding external expert review are to be applied when applying for promotion to professor.
Lecturer
A university lecturer who is permanently employed is to, upon application, be promoted to a permanent position as a senior lecturer, if qualified for such employment. The subject area for the position as senior lecturer must be the same as for the position as lecturer.
Apply for promotion
In support of the promotion application, the applicant must submit complete application documents in accordance with what applies in applications to externally advertised positions for professors or senior lecturers. See more information in the university's appointments procedures.
When applying for promotion to a professor/associate professor, or senior lecturer, the Academic Appointment Committee is to assess whether the applicant meets the eligibility requirements.
