Leaves of absence
All applications for leave are made in Primula.
Leave with pay
With the support of the General Agreement on Pay and Benefits for Government Employees, the employer can grant you leave without a salary deduction.
Family matters: serious illness, death, burial, estate or inheritance matters
Leave can be granted for the time needed (including travel time). However, leave is granted for a maximum of ten working days per calendar year (reasonable number of days). This applies only to close family members. Leave for more serious illness is only meant for times when life is coming to an end.
Maternity center
Leave can be granted to accompany the partner to the maternity center on two occasions per pregnancy.
Union representation assignments
Maximum ten working days per calendar year. Does not apply to leave according to the law on the position of trade union representative in the workplace.
Relocation leave
One working day. Change your address in Primula at the same time as you apply for relocation leave; select “Leave for move.”
Salary during study leave
The employer may allow, if certain educational programmes or trainings are significant for the university, an employee to retain all or a certain part of their salary.
Leave without pay
Leave without pay can be granted by the employer. Examples of such leave are study leave, care for loved ones/next of kin with compensation from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, as well as trying other work.
