Research and Education Board

Its areas of responsibility do not include education with an artistic orientation, artistic research, or artistic development work. For this, there is a specially established body: Artistic Research and Education Board

The Research and Education Board has also delegated responsibility to various committees. The university-wide committee is the Academic Appointment Committee (Anställningsutskottet in Swedish).  Five education committees (utbildningsutskott in Swedish) are responsible for the educational programmes that the university conducts at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. The division of responsibilities among the education committees takes a cross-Faculty perspective, meaning the degree that the educational programme leads to directly governs which committee is relevant for the programme.   Freestanding courses are presented to the relevant committee. Besides these Education Committees there are two Research Education Committees that are responsible for quality assurance for the doctoral programmes.
