Phone FAQ

Which phone is ordered by default?

The iPhone SE 64GB is ordered as a standard phone. All iPhones that are ordered are registered via Jamf, which is a software for IT to be able to administer the phones if the phone should be locked or stolen.

How do I activate the Tele2 app?

Open the app and enter your mobile phone number with country code (+467xxxxxxxx) and tap Get activation code.

You will now receive an SMS with an activation code. Enter the code in the app and tap Activate. Now your user profile and company contact list are automatically activated on your mobile phone.

How much data do I get with my subscription?

We now have 200GB of data per month on our subscriptions as standard.

Why is it important to set an end time when I put in a referral?

If you don't set an end time, your phone is closed until you manually open it again. The telephone exchange and your colleagues won't see when you're available unless you set an end time.

How do I record my own greeting message in voicemail?

Call 222 and follow the instructions.

What number do I call if I want to contact the university's telephone exchange?

The number to the switchboard is 4000.

I'm travelling to the UK; will my phone work?

Yes, the UK is part of the agreement that applies to the EU/EEA.

I am going on a work trip outside the EU/EEA; what applies then?

Phones are blocked by default for calls, SMS/MMS and data outside the EU/EEA. After approval by your manager, an order can be sent via email to campusservice@hb.se with a copy to the manager regarding which country and time period are relevant for your trip.

I am going on a private trip outside the EU/EEA; what applies then?

The UB subscription is blocked outside the EU/EEA. A private subscription must be used. WiFi will work and can be used to read emails and make calls.

Can I have UB subscription in a private mobile or a private subscription in an UB mobile?

Yes, as long as your phone can have two SIM cards. It is important that you keep your phone updated to the latest version of the operating system and update the apps. The university's telephone rules apply regardless of whether you use a private mobile phone.
