Computer-based home and on Campus examination in WISEflow
University of Borås is using WISEflow for computer based examinations, both as on campus exams and as home exams. These exams will be given mostly as BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) that is, students are to bring their own computers or borrow a computer if they don't have one (they can book one in advance). In 2024 we will change WISEflow to Inspera. Information pages will be published later when the students are affected by the change.
How to book an exam in WISEflow
If you as a course coordinator want to schedule an exam in WISEflow, home exam or at campus, please send all the information required at KronoX. See picture below. Or send an email to tentamen@hb.se
You add the signature WFTEN (plus TEN and your own signature) and also provide info about if it is to be given as a home exam or on campus exam etc. The clearer the better.
- On campus exam or home exam
- Date and time (start and end)
- Ladok code/Course code and name of the exam
- Name of the author/-s (the teacher/-s constructing the exam)
- If you want to use FLOWmulti, FLOWassign, FLOWlock or FLOWcombined
- Name of assessor/-s
- Name of reviewer if any (examiner, if there is more then one assessor)
- exam or re exam
- Assessment type (for example U-3-4-5, U-G-VG)
- Phone number to teacher, during the exam

You will find WISEflow on all computers at campus under the Start menu - HB - Tentamen - WISEflow - WISEflow Chrome
Or you can type in se.wiseflow.net/hb in any browser and log in.

Information to be provided by the course coordinator to the students before an exam in WISEflow
As the course coordinator, it is important that you inform your students that the exam will be conducted in WISEflow, in good time. Contact digitaltentamen@hb.seto agree on what information you should provide to the students.
You need to inform the students if the exam in WISEflow will be given as an on campus exam or a home exam. If it is a BYOD exam (Bring Your Own Device) on campus, they must bring their own computers or book a computer for loan if they do not have their own laptop. If the on campus exam is conducted with BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), ie that the students have their own computer, it is important that they have also prepared it for the digital exam in WISEflow by downloading the locked browser, FLOWlockbrowser (Lockdownbrowser). This means that the students do not have access to anything other than the actual exam on their computer during the exam. If they have booked a computer for loan, it is already provided with the Lockdownbrowser. Note that the locked browser is only used for on campus exams!
We sometimes use desktops when there are large exam groups. These computers are already prepared with FLOWlockbrowser.
Please note that desktops are used secondarily and that you need to book it in good time to be able to book the computer rooms that are available at the university.
It is important that you as the course coordinator notify digitaltentamen@hb.se in good time if you have a student group that is going to sit an exam in WISEflow for the first time.
Together with the WISEflow administrator at Student Reception you should book an information session before the first exam in WISEflow for a student group so that they learn about how an exam in WISEflow is conducted. The students also have a chance to ask questions about the preparation of their computers (for the on campus exam, BYOD, Bring Your Own Device / Bring your own computer is used, as they must download the Lockdownbrowser, which shuts down access to other things on the computer during the exam). An information session is given via ZOOM, or at campus, 1-2 weeks before the exam.
