Flying flags

There are five flagpoles on the university's campus, all of which are located on Akademiplatsen outside the Sandgärdet building. On public flagging days, the Swedish flag is flown on all poles. Flags can also be raised at university celebrations such as doctoral defences.

If you have a reason to fly a flag, you must order this yourself using the form below. The Director of the Communications Office takes the decision on flying flags. The Communications Office ensures that there is information in the calendar and notifies Securitas, which is responsible for flying the flag. Remember to place your order well in advance of your event.

In the case of international visits, the flag of the visiting country may be flown.

Only the Swedish flag is flown at doctoral thesis defences.
