Additional documentation may be required and will appear in the advertisement for the advertised doctoral studentship position. If you are applying for more than one project, you must submit a complete application for each project.
The application must be received by the University of Borås no later than the date stated in the job posting. Late applications or incomplete applications will not be processed.
For admission to doctoral education at the University of Borås, both basic qualifications and special qualifications are required to be met. The eligibility requirements are specified in the general syllabi for each respective doctoral education programme. The basic qualifications are the same for all doctoral programmes.

The Research Education Committee (FUU), or KFU, is responsible for the selection of applicants. When the application period has expired, all applications are sent from the Registrar’s Office to the university's Admissions Office, where a review of basic eligibility takes place. Eligible candidates are ranked by FUU/KFU according to merit. The relevant board/committee calls the candidates who appear to be most suitable for interview. How many are called varies from case to case; however, at least two candidates must be called if two or more are available as applicants for the doctoral studentship position.
Decisions in regards to admissions cannot be appealed.
