Credit transfer
To apply for credit transfer, you must be a student at the University of Borås. This means that you are registered and active in an educational programme or at least one course at the University of Borås. However, you do not need to be registered as a student in the course for which you are applying for credit transfer.
In the assessment, the content, scope, and level of your previous studies or professional activities are tested against the syllabus of the course for which you are applying for credit transfer (the course you do not want to take).
If you plan to apply for a degree from the University of Borås, you should apply for credit transfer well in advance of finishing your studies so that you have received a decision on the credit transfer when you apply for the degree.
Please note! Although the same course can be used multiple times as a basis for credit transfer, it is important to remember that in the end, you need to have enough credits to receive a degree; credits for a course or part of a course can only be used once in a degree.

Decisions On Credit Transfer
Decisions about credit transfer are made using the documentation and application documents that you have submitted. It is your responsibility as a student to ensure that your application is complete.
Credited higher education is not graded; the examining higher education institution's grade applies.
Applications for credit transfer are processed as soon as possible after a complete application has been received. More complicated cases may take longer.
After a decision has been made, the student will be notified.
Keep in mind that if your application for credit transfer is granted, this may affect your student financing; therefore, it is important that you contact CSN regarding any changes.
