Kickoff for new students

During the kickoff, you will have the opportunity to get to know your new fellow students, meet the student union, become familiar with the university, and its different sections. You will also meet the student buddies and campus associations. The idea is that we will give you as a new student in Borås a good start to your studies!

First day 1 September

09:30
The Kick-off begins – you will be greeted by, among others, the President of the Student Union in Borås and the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Mats Tinnsten. Sara Norving and Jessica Till, from Borås Näringsliv, will also welcome you to the city of Borås.

10:00–12:00
You will gather with your class and class mentor for a campus tour and receive important information about your upcoming studies.

12:00–13:00
The university will offer all new students a light lunch.
Place: Akademiplatsen

13:00–15:15
Workshop with your class – this is an opportunity to get to know your fellow students. You will also meet representatives from the business sector relevant to your field of study.

15:30
Gather again at Akademiplatsen for some coffee, tea, fruit, and sweets.And information about the evening.

15:45
In the evening, you’ll have the chance to visit various bars in Borås with your mentors to get to know each other and the city better. Take the opportunity to ask your mentor(s) about your programme, expectations, and other fun things!
