Campus and study environment

The University of Borås does not provide parking, but as the university is located in the city centre of Borås, there are many possible parking areas to choose from.

For the University of Borås, we work for sustainable social development through our main activities, teaching and research, but also internally in the organisation and in collaboration with stakeholders.

Important aspects for us are to promote diversity, gender equality, and accessibility and to reduce the environmental impact of day-to-day operations.

The university has a certified environmental management system according to the international standard ISO 14001. Centrally at the university there is a coordinator who leads the work to integrate sustainable development into our operations.

There are several options for those who want a bite to eat or some coffee on campus.

In the Balder building - we have Restaurant Balder with the Green and Red Dining Rooms. It serves breakfast, coffee, and lunch and has a salad bar. See the menu and more information. Outside of the Green Dining Room, Balder also has a make-your-own salad bar.

In the Sandgärdet building - we have Sandgärdscaféet which serves breakfast, coffee, and light meals.

In the Textile Fashion Center - we have The Wine & Coffee Company and The Food Company. You can find breakfast, coffee, lunch, and lighter meals here. See the menu for The Company and its hours of operation.

On campus, there are a number of student kitchens with microwave ovens where you can heat your food.

The university’s Reception is normally open Monday–Thursday from 07:50–16:30 and on Fridays from 07:50–15:00. The switchboard open at 08:00 AM every Monday to Friday. Here you can find more information about opening hours for the reception and main entrances at the university.
