Student Ombudsman
You can turn to the Student Ombudsman if you have any problems during your studies. Problems can relate to a lack of information or undesirable treatment by other students, teachers, or staff at the university. Or you can seek assistance with any concerns you may have about your rights or obligations as a student.
- The Student Ombudsman has an informing, guiding, and referring function.
- The Student Ombudsman has a support function.
- The Student Ombudsman cannot influence decisions.
What the Student Ombudsman can do for you as a student
- Listen to and discuss your case or your question
- Help you find and understand documents governing the work of the university
- Describe procedures and processes for complaints and appeals
- Informally investigate your case or your question
- Show you the options available if you want to take your case further
- Attend meetings with teachers and/or management when necessary
- Support students who have been reported to the university's Disciplinary Board.
- Help and support students who feel victimised or discriminated against
