The report highlights how universities, scholars, and students are increasingly subjected to political pressure and arbitrary legal measures. These attacks occur not only in authoritarian states, but also in countries with strong democratic traditions.

During the launch, we will hear international perspectives and reflections on the report’s findings and its significance for academia both nationally and globally.

The event will be held in English and in hybrid format. You are welcome to attend in person at the University of Borås or join online. Light refreshments will be served for those attending on site.

Speakers

  • Denise Roche, Advocacy Manager, Scholars at Risk Europe
  • Andrea Pető, Professor, CEU Democracy Institute

Moderator: Jutta Haider, Professor, University of Borås
