Internship - Field study
Many of the students at the Swedish School of Textiles are eager to get in touch with the industry and acquire working experience early on in their education. The University of Borås provides support for its students in obtaining a valuable work experience through national or international field studies/internships, where the students will receive supervised training under actual working conditions, build-up professional networks and get a solid perspective of their future careers and relate this to their academic studies and theoretical knowledge.
Some students have these field study courses within their programmes and for those who don’t we offer summer courses as well as an autumn semester course when they have finished their undergraduate or graduate programme.
As a company you commit to offer the student an internship position which should be relevant in relations to the student’s educational programme. The student is required to write an academic report during the internship which requires that the company can assist the student in gathering information or relevant material for the report. Depending on which course the student is enrolled in the internship period can last 5, 10 or 20 weeks. The student is insured for personal injuries by the University of Borås during the internship working hours.
If you have an internship position to offer our students you are more than welcome to send us an ad in a PDF-format which we will post on our website. Here you can find the latest ads.
If you have any questions regarding our field study/internship courses you are welcome to contact Anneli Bentzlin.
