Dye & Print Technology Lab
In this lab, it is possible, on a small scale, to give textile materials different aesthetic or functional properties. This can be through dyeing, printing, coatings, flame retardancy, and dimensional stability. The processes can therefore look very different depending on whether you focus on the function or the appearance of the textiles.
Prototypes can also be produced in the lab, which is done by both research and educational programmes at the Swedish School of Textiles.
The lab has and uses everything from artisan equipment, laboratory equipment, and pilot facilities. Here, processes and products can be developed and provide an understanding of how the properties of textiles are created. You will also have the opportunity to test, interpret, and analyze results on site.
