Borrowing terms and conditions
When you borrow from the University Library, you borrow according to the University Library's borrowing terms and conditions. In the terms and conditions you can also read about how the Library handles your personal information.
Register as a Library user
If you are a student at the University of Borås, you create your loan account at the library by yourself. Log in to the Self Service Portal and choose the tab for Consent. There you then decide whether you want to give (or remove) consent to the library system called Alma.
If you’re not a student or employee at the University of Borås, and you want to use the library, it is fully possible as long as you are over 16 years old. What you need to do then is to fill in the application below and then come to the Information Point in the University Library to activate your loan account.
If you are a student at another university and want to borrow books on the same terms as students at the University of Borås – please bring your campus card to prove that you are a student at another university.
If you are under 18 years old, your legal guardian will need to fill in the attached form to accept that you are allowed to have a library account at the University.
Purchase suggestions
If you want the Library to buy a certain book or journal you can submit your purchase suggestion.
Interlibrary loans
If the Library doesn't have the material that you need, the material can be borrowed or ordered from another library on your behalf, this is called Interlibrary loans.
