Work with us at the Faculty of Textiles, Engineering and Business

We offer educational programmes at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level where we train engineers, accountants, fashion designers, retail managers, and textile product developers, among others.

The Faculty is home to three of the university’s six research areas: Resource Recovery, Textiles and Fashion, as well as Business and IT. The first two areas are complete environments with undergraduate programmes up to doctoral studies and research. In these areas, everything is closely linked to sustainable development and the industry. We are one of only three higher education institutions in Sweden authorised to award doctoral degrees in both scientific and fine arts research. Uniquely, we are the only institution with this distinction in the fields of textiles and fashion.

The Faculty is also home to the Swedish School of Textiles, one of the world's top-ranked fashion schools. The Swedish School of Textiles possesses unparalleled expertise across the entire textile value chain—unsurpassed in Sweden and recognised as a leader on the global stage.

The Faculty is organised into five departments:

  • Department of Business Administration and Textile Management
  • Department of Engineering
  • Department of Resource Recovery and Building Technology
  • Department of Textile Technology
  • Department of Design

In addition to the five departments, there is a department for the lab/workshop staff.

The Faculty additionally is home to the Centre for Sustainable Society Development.
