Fashion design and Sustainability 7.5 hp

Design is central to sustainable development. This course gives you the basics for working specifically with design for sustainable development in different areas and from different perspectives with a focus on clothing and fashion. The course is aimed at both students and professionals who need skill development within the design area's possibilities in order to contribute to a more sustainable society.

The course introduces basic concepts, methods and strategies for opportunities and challenges with design as a starting point for sustainable development, for example from design-related aspects of construction to overall circular thinking based on design. The course also provides knowledge and skills to critically evaluate and formulate design strategies for various sustainability challenges.
